This Privacy and Cookies Policy describes how Lansford Governance Advisors LLC (“LGA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit lansfordga.com (the “Website”) or otherwise communicate with us through the Website.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to information collected through the Website and related website-based communications. It does not replace privacy, confidentiality, information-security, business associate, or other obligations that may apply under a separate client engagement, contract, or applicable law.
If you become an LGA client, information provided or created in connection with the professional engagement may be governed by additional contractual terms and legal requirements.
2. Information We May Collect
We may collect information that you provide directly to us, such as your name, email address, telephone number, organization, job title, and the contents of a message or inquiry submitted through the Website.
We may also receive technical and usage information automatically when you visit the Website. This information includes your browser type and settings, device and operating system, network and IP address, referring and exit pages, pages and content viewed, links and buttons clicked, entries made in Website forms, session timestamps, and similar information about how visitors use the Website. Some of this information is transmitted directly from your browser to, and is received and recorded by, our hosting, analytics, and security providers at the same time it is sent to us. Section 6 describes the choices available to you and the consent you give by using the Website.
We do not intend the Website or its general contact forms to collect protected health information, Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, passwords, privileged legal communications, or other highly sensitive or regulated information.
Information you submit through a Website contact form, including the message itself, is transmitted through and stored by our website platform provider and is delivered to LGA by email. If you check the box to receive news and updates, we also add your email address to our mailing list. That box is not checked by default, and you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email or by contacting us at the address in Section 18.
3. Please Do Not Submit Sensitive Client Information Through the Website
Please do not submit protected health information (PHI), patient information, privileged legal communications, confidential investigation materials, passwords or security credentials, Social Security numbers, financial account information, or other highly sensitive client or personal information through a general Website contact form or other unsecured Website feature.
If sensitive information is needed for a professional engagement, LGA will work with the client or contracting party to identify an appropriate method for transmitting and handling that information.
4. How We Use Information
We may use information collected through the Website to respond to inquiries; communicate with prospective and current clients, business partners, and other contacts; evaluate potential engagements; provide requested information; operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Website; understand Website traffic and usage; prevent misuse or security incidents; comply with legal and contractual obligations; and protect the rights and interests of LGA and others.
We do not use Website information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning Website visitors.
5. Squarespace Hosting and Website Analytics
The Website is hosted using Squarespace. Squarespace may process information necessary to securely deliver the Website and may collect visitor information to provide website analytics and related functionality. Squarespace acts as our service provider and processes Website information on our behalf and under our instructions, subject to Squarespace’s own terms and data processing terms.
Depending on our Website settings and your cookie preferences, analytics information may include browser, network, device, IP address, referral information, pages visited, clicks, internal links, scrolling, searches, and timestamps.
LGA uses analytics information to understand Website traffic and activity and to improve the Website and its content.
As of the effective date of this Policy, the only analytics technology used on the Website is Squarespace Analytics, which is provided by our website platform provider. The Website does not use Google Analytics, advertising or social media pixels or tags, third-party marketing trackers, or any similar third-party tracking technology. LGA does not use session replay, session recording, keystroke logging, or mouse-movement recording tools on the Website. If LGA adds or removes a technology, this Policy will be updated before that technology is used.
6. Cookies, Similar Technologies, and Your Consent
Cookies are small files or pieces of data stored on a visitor’s device. The Website may also use similar technologies such as local storage. These technologies can help the Website function properly, remember preferences, provide security, and provide information about Website traffic and activity.
Squarespace uses necessary cookies that support the secure and effective operation of Squarespace websites. Depending on our configuration, the Website may also use analytics and performance cookies that help us understand how visitors interact with the Website.
Necessary cookies may be used without an opt-in where permitted because they support Website functionality and security. Non-essential analytics or performance cookies may be restricted until a visitor makes a choice through the Website’s cookie banner, depending on the visitor’s location and our Website settings.

Section 5701 and following, which requires the consent of all parties to a communication, and for purposes of any comparable federal or state law, including the California Invasion of Privacy Act. If you do not consent, please decline non-essential cookies through the cookie banner and discontinue use of the Website.
You may withdraw your consent to non-essential collection at any time by declining or clearing cookies through the Website’s cookie controls or your browser settings, or by discontinuing use of the Website. LGA does not sell personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. LGA does not use the Website to engage in cross-context behavioral advertising unless this Policy is updated to disclose that practice.
10. Professional Engagement Information
Information collected or received in connection with an LGA professional engagement may be subject to confidentiality provisions, business associate agreements, information-security requirements, or other contractual and legal protections that are separate from this Website Policy.
If a separate written agreement imposes privacy, confidentiality, or data-handling requirements that differ from this Policy, the separate agreement will govern the applicable professional engagement.

We retain Website-related personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including responding to inquiries, maintaining business records, establishing or managing business relationships, complying with legal or contractual obligations, resolving disputes, and protecting legitimate business interests.

Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania has not enacted a comprehensive consumer data privacy statute. Pennsylvania residents are protected by, among other laws, the Pennsylvania Wiretapping and Electronic Surveillance Control Act and the Breach of Personal Information Notification Act, 73 P.S. Section 2301 and following. LGA will notify affected Pennsylvania residents of a breach of unencrypted and unredacted personal information as required by that Act.
To make a privacy request, contact LGA using the information in Section 18 and describe the request and the personal information at issue. LGA will respond within the time required by applicable law.
14. Children’s Privacy
The Website is intended for business and professional audiences and is not directed to children. LGA does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Website. If we learn that such information has been collected unintentionally, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. The Website is not directed to anyone under 18, and LGA does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through the Website.

LGA is based in the United States. If you access the Website from outside the United States, information may be processed or stored in the United States or other locations in which LGA’s service providers operate.
